Dr. House Teaching about the Holy of Holies at Arad.

I'm standing right now in front of a structure that was an alternative worship site to that which is found in Jerusalem, at the city of Arad.

Now, if you look behind me, you find there is an incense altar and the two stones representing deities.

Now, this is an Israelite city.

We're talking about between about the 10th and 7th century BC, so you're talking about around the time of Solomon, going all the way through the later kings and prophets of Judah and the southern area called the Negev.

Arad is one of the cities that goes around the Negev.

You have Arad, you have Beersheba and Lachish and other cities around.

This city actually is quite ancient.

There's a lower Arad here, that dates from the time of when Joshua came into the country, which I would take probably around 1400 BC, although others would think maybe in the 13th century.
