Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using https://hvsb.app (the "Service"), operated by the House Visual Study Bible ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

The House Visual Study Bible provides Bible text alongside study notes, images, maps, and related study resources prepared by Dr. H. Wayne House. Access to study content requires an account, and after a free trial period, an active subscription.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Service you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for activity that occurs under your account. Your account is for your personal use and may not be shared. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Subscriptions and Billing

  • Free trial. New accounts receive a free trial period (currently 14 days) with full access to study content. No payment method is required for the trial.
  • Plans and pricing. After the trial, continued access to study content requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown when you subscribe. We may change prices with notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal on your Account page. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
  • Refunds. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.
  • Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's terms.

Intellectual Property

The study notes, images, media, and other original content in the Service are the property of Dr. H. Wayne House and the House Visual Study Bible and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Bible text and certain images are public domain or are included under license from their respective owners, as credited.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and use the Service's content for your own study. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, republish, or create derivative works from the Service's content without our written permission, beyond what applicable law allows (such as fair use).

Content You Send Us

If you send us messages, feedback, or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use them to respond to you, operate, and improve the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access accounts or systems without authorization, interfering with or disrupting the Service, circumventing subscription requirements, or using automated tools to extract content.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is free of inaccuracies.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the House Visual Study Bible and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the House Visual Study Bible and its affiliates harmless from claims and demands arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date; for material changes we will also notify you by email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
