A praise psalm by David.

1I will exalt you, my God, the King.

I will praise your name forever and ever.

2Every day I will praise you.

I will extol your name forever and ever.

3Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised!

His greatness is unsearchable.

4One generation will commend your works to another,

and will declare your mighty acts.

5I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor,

on your wondrous works.

6Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts.

I will declare your greatness.

7They will utter the memory of your great goodness,

and will sing of your righteousness.

8Yahweh is gracious, merciful,

slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.

9Yahweh is good to all.

His tender mercies are over all his works.

10All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh.

Your saints will extol you.

11They will speak of the glory of your kingdom,

and talk about your power,

12to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts,

the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.

Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Yahweh is faithful in all his words,

and loving in all his deeds.

14Yahweh upholds all who fall,

and raises up all those who are bowed down.

15The eyes of all wait for you.

You give them their food in due season.

16You open your hand,

and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

17Yahweh is righteous in all his ways,

and gracious in all his works.

18Yahweh is near to all those who call on him,

to all who call on him in truth.

19He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him.

He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

20Yahweh preserves all those who love him,

but he will destroy all the wicked.

21My mouth will speak the praise of Yahweh.

Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

God Will Establish a Powerful and Everlasting Kingdom (2:44-45)

God Will Establish a Powerful and Everlasting Kingdom (2:44-45)

Passage Study | Dan 2:44 | James Allen Moseley

God would establish a kingdom that would crush all these kingdoms and endure forever. Jesus did exactly this.

Psalms 145:13 says, “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.”

Isaiah 9:6, 7 says that there will be no end to the increase of the Messiah’s government and that God’s zeal, not man’s efforts, would establish the Messianic kingdom.

The angel Gabriel told Mary that God would give Jesus a kingdom that would never end (Luke 1:33).

At the beginning of His ministry, Jesus preached that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand, and He sent out the twelve disciples to preach the same message (Matt 4:17; 10:7; Luke 9:2).

Jesus said that heaven and earth would pass away but that His words would never pass away.  And He told His disciples, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt 28:18-20).

In Colossians, Paul said that God had rescued believers from darkness and transferred them to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Col 1:13).

Hebrews said: “But of the Son, He says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever’” (Heb 1:8).

In Revelation, John says that Jesus made us be “a kingdom of priests to His God and His Father, to whom be the glory and dominion forever and ever.” John describes the new heaven and the new earth in which the Messianic kingdom will flower eternally after the final triumph over Satan and sin (Rev 1:6; Rev 21).

Isaiah 60:12 says, “The nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.”
